Brief info

Heather Ratcliff (she/her) is a communications specialist advocating for human rights and social change. She's been in different aspects of the communications field for more than 20 years. She started out as a journalist and worked for several weekly and daily papers. During that time, she realized she wanted to affect change rather than just write about it. Heather returned to school for a second master's degree, and in 2005, she began working with nonprofits. She's worked with a small nonprofit in D.C. that had partners around the world, as well as a museum, and an organization that teaches self-defense to mainly women, girls, and LGBTQ+ folk. She's currently taking a break to be with her kids and write a children's book.
