Eizel Luna
Partner Relations Coordinator
Brief info
Eizel started working with Northern Virginia Food Rescue in March 2022. With a background in the food industry ranging from professional kitchens, bakeries, and farms, Eizel understands the full scope of food waste. As an avid traveler, she combined her professional food industry experience with extensive travel from kitchens in Paris to coffee farms in Thailand to deepen her understanding of the cultural significance of food. Experiencing the cultural and social impact of food within communities during her work and travel is the driving force behind her work in food rescue today. At Northern Virginia Food Rescue, she continues her work in equitable food access while also reducing food waste in the community. When not at work, Eizel is a lover of foraging and slacklining.
