Claire was the first hire for Prince William Food Rescue in June of 2019. When the food rescue program was at its earliest stages, she worked as a food rescue coordinator, distribution manager, and donor manager as the program evolved and steadily grew. She received a B.A. in Sociology from Amherst College in Massachusetts and later relocated to Virginia to pursue a career in community programming. Claire has leveraged her experience in program management, team leadership, and community engagement to help develop and strengthen the Prince William Food Rescue Program. As the Program Director of Northern Virginia Food Rescue, Claire leads the efforts to stand up for food rescue programs in counties throughout Northern Virginia. By hiring and training new food rescue management teams and building strong community partnerships, she creates comprehensive and efficient food rescue programs readily equipped to reduce food waste and hunger throughout the region.
